The Tuxedo
This is where the sartorial laws matter most. A tuxedo is not the place to be different for the sake of it. It is traditional attire, worn rarely, for the evenings that matter: a wedding, a gala, a black tie dinner. It should look as right in photographs decades from now as it does on the night.
We hold to tradition in the cut, whether you choose single or double breasted, a shawl or a peak lapel. Every tuxedo is cut to your own pattern on a full canvas, so it sits cleanly through a long evening and moves with you from the first toast to the last dance.
How we accessorise it is where your aesthetic comes in. We make our own bow ties, either pre-tied and ready to wear, or self-tie so you shape the knot yourself, and cummerbunds cut from the same cloth as the tie.
The shirt completes it. Each tuxedo shirt is cut to your own pattern, with a Marcella or pleated bib, a wing or turndown collar, and French cuffs for studs and cufflinks.
Allow around three months. Every tuxedo begins with a first fitting.
