HALF HAND BESPOKE
As an intermediary between full hand Bespoke and machine made Bespoke, the half hand option allows for the exact same level of customisation with a reduced amount of handwork, turn-around time and cost.
Unlike made-to-measure offerings, Zimma Tailors bespoke do not work from the fitting block. Mimicking the full hand made option, the pattern is made only for your body and cut straight of a bench. All your bodily distinctions and unique posture are taken into account to draft your bespoke pattern.
Still constructed with a full piece of horsehair canvas, the main difference between the half hand and full hand Bespoke is the construction method of the canvas. Sewn with the same detail and finesse, the canvas is put together using specialised machines made to copy the crafty handwork of a veteran artesian.
All button holes are finished by hand as well as the milanese lapel hole, armhole, sleeves hem, sleeve liner, nape, melton, collar, shoulder and the finer hidden details. The half hand finished garment ensures the same superior fit, drape and comfort for which our bespoke commissions are renowned.
With a construction to delivery period of about 4 weeks, our half hand Bespoke garments are typically ready for collection shortly after the second and final fitting – providing an accessible and streamlined version of our full hand Bespoke service.
